Third World Problems

I visited one of the poorest families in Quito with the Pan de Vida staff and was shocked by the living conditions. We are planning to help this poor family as a collaborated project with Pan de Vida next Saturday, so this morning we went to visit the family to see what they need. There is only one room and one bed for the small house, and the Pan de Vida staff told me that they actually told the family to move the chicken, pigs and dogs out of the house so that it is more hygenic. Honestly, I was fearful to carry the children because they were dirty and mucus was flowing their nose. There were also white things in their hair. I still carried them in the end and took some photos with them.
