‘Roti Prata’ in Quito

Our church member, Lalita invited us to eat something new in Quito yesterday night. We went to somewhere like the ‘Roti Prata’ stall near the airport and tried something like the ’tissue prata’ called ‘Empanada de viento’ (Wind puff). It was crispy and tasty, with some sugar on top of it and some cheese within it. The chilli was very nice too. 🙂 We tried some other food like ‘tortilla de maiz’ (taste like red bean paste biscuits) and ‘tamal de papa’ (mashed potato dumpling with shredded chicken inside). They were delicious as well. Besides the good food, we had great fellowship with Gonzalo and Lalita too. 😀 Below are some photos:



    1. Yeah it was! But it’s like tissue or paper prata – empty inside. Full of air, with just a tiny piece of cheese. hehehe…
